The City of Hoboken is considering implementing bike lanes on Grand, Clinton and 11th Street. Protected bike lanes could make sense for these wide streets to protect cyclists and others. However, I'm also weary of negative impacts on parking, traffic and access for emergency vehicles.
I believe that testing will be necessary before any implementation process, to ensure that the benefit to residents will outweigh any negative impact and that safety standards are upheld.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on protected bike lanes. Please leave a comment and share the survey with your neighbors and friends.
